Tim's career in financial services began at Mutual of New York (MONY) after he graduated from Quinnipiac University. After a successful stint at MONY, Tim moved to Charter Oak Financial also a general agency of MassMutual, in 2003, where he built the New Haven district office from the ground up as its Sales Manager. He strategically recruited talent to grow that office from a fledgling unit to one employing 35 professionals at its peak. Just six years later, Tim was heading one of the top five district offices in the agency's network.
Tim was drawn to financial services in large part through his aptitude for and love of entrepreneurship. Growing up in Connecticut, he was an entrepreneur at a youn age, building and selling his first business before attending college. He also worked summers at the family farm, where he learned the value of hard work. It was there where he first encountered the challenges that multi-generational businesses face maintaining and growing a family enterprise. Consequently, when he launched his private practice, Tim committed to a focus on succession planning and family owned businesses, and obtained the American College's Certified Family Business Specialist (CSFB) designation in 2006.
