Michael N. Priede was named Managing Partner in 2014 for Capital Strategies. As managing partner in Austin, Priede oversees 15 full-service offices in Austin, Georgetown, Killeen, Laredo, Pflugerville, and San Antonio.
Capital Strategies is predicated on the idea of helping others – our clients as they achieve their financial goals and our advisors as they reach the highest levels of growth, personal success, and work satisfaction. We are proud to have been voted the Top Workplace in the Austin American Statesman for two consecutive years and believe it says a lot about Capital Strategies. Though it certainly demonstrates that our people enjoy working here, there’s a lot more to the story. Each of us leaves work every day with one simple question: “Did I transform a life today?”
Through teaming, a disciplined process-driven approach and a host of supportive resources, our personal mission is to lift advisors as they create healthy practices, distinct advantage, and commercial value. Building a warm firm culture, creating an involved and approachable community footprint, and fostering strong camaraderie within the firm are essential components to what we see as our job every day.
A 1986 graduate of the University of South Florida in business administration, Priede began his financial career in sales for Prudential and New York Life Insurance Company. His 30 years in the industry includes the following accomplishments: Top 25 Sales Managers, Agency Builders Conference; Top Recruiters Forum Qualifier; Graduate of the General Agent and Managers Association’s Agency Management Council; Top 40 Business Leaders under 40, Savannah Business Report and Journal, a three-time Good Business Practices Community Award Winner, and two-time recipient of the Management Leaders Conference Council.
Michael is involved in several volunteer activities – some with his entire firm – including the Austin Ridge Bible Church – Embrace, a special needs ministry; and ARC of the Capitol, a nonprofit organization that empowers compassionate case management and innovative programs. Outside of the office he enjoys golf, music, travel and spending time with family.
