As a Financial Advisor with HF Financial, I help clients who want the strengths of a reputable firm, but seek tailored advice and service from an experienced team.

Our goal with each client is to deliver comprehensive wealth management through a combination of earned trust, proper planning, and individual strategies for what we call “the business of life”.

Why I chose to be a Financial Advisor

I have always cherished the great freedoms that come with being an American. Our pursuit of happiness is truly a theme that has resonated with me since childhood, and has lead me down a path to entrepreneurship in which I am called to serve as trusted advisor to my fellow man and woman.

The dream of financial success is something I desire for each of my clients. Experience tells me that the path can be quite murky if done alone and without proper planning.

My clients are the individuals and families who have succeeded through vision, discipline, and hard work. They are good neighbors who are honest and caring. They are deserving of my time, and in return I actively listen in order to deliver sound and prudent advice.

My passion is to help our clients understand their accomplishments and explore their financial options. Together, we travel a journey from uncertainty to confidence.

Getting Personal

Moving around the Southeast some as a young boy and then again after college, I am a North Carolina native and proud to call this state home. Raised by mother and stepfather, I am grateful they instilled in me the values of integrity, hard work, and compassion. My father’s own success as an entrepreneur has had a lasting effect on my career and development. I’m grateful for the many lessons he bestowed upon me, and the ability to share the same knowledge with my own son, Charlie.

Graduating from Appalachian State University in 1995 was not only a springboard for learning, but a catalyst for meeting my future bride, Danielle. Later, I continued my education through graduate school and two distinct careers. Now at the helm of my own practice, I have finally discovered where my competencies best intersect with my passions. I am truly blessed in that regard and deeply committed to my continued professional development.

In addition to helping my clients, I am committed to helping my community. As a Past President of the Hickory Museum of Art, I enjoy volunteering my time and services in the local arts community. As well, I have coached multiple youth sports over the years as I truly believe that sports offer many great lessons for our children. Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and have a passion for automobiles, travel, golf, snow skiing, and an occasional game of ping-pong.
